I am the Fitness Specialist Certificate Program Co-coordinator. My passion in education is Service Learning - volunteer work in the community associated with the curriculum. It's learning on the "job", or getting hands-on experience. I am an avid cyclist, skier (downhill and cross country), swimmer and aqua jogger. I was a competitive distance runner and I qualified and ran in the Olympic Marathon Trials. I teach skiing during the holidays to Mammoth Mountain. Traveling is a big hobby of mine. In the summer of 2011, I hope to teach a summer abroad cycling program in Italy and France. We'll go to the Tour de France, Tuscany, Florence, Venice and Cinque Terra. Email me for info.

Join me and Professor Paul Greer in the summer of 2011 for a Suumer Abroad Program in Italy and France. The 2 classes offered will be cycling and Walking/Hiking. Get fit or stay fit in Europe. We will ride and /or hike the rolling hills ,vineyard, olive groves and medival villages of Tuscany. We'll conquer, on bikes, the climbs of the Tour de France , and watch the race from mountain tops. Breathtaking Venice and Florence will explored extensively on foot.
