Dr. Cole is an associate professor of psychology and a licensed clinical psychologist. She views her role as a community college psychology professor not just as a content-specific instructor, but an educator of how to learn. She believes that when college students (no matter their age, ethnicity, experience, or disability) discover their most productive style of learning, they are more likely to be successful academically, vocationally, and interpersonally. In addition to teaching, she is the curriculum developer for the Mental Health Worker Certificate program and the faculty advisor of the Psi Beta National Honor Society in Psychology club on campus. She also conducts forensic psychological evaluations, volunteers with the Red Cross Disaster Mental Health Team, is writing two books, and is the producer of a psychology-related film in development.
