HONORS TRANSFER AGREEMENTS

The City College Honors Program's agreement with UCLA requires that students complete 15 units of honors and achieve a minimum UC transferable GPA of 3.25.  Once students are certified by the City College Honors Progam, UCLA grants priority admission to the UCLA College of Letters and Science. Admission rates for students applying through our agreement are close to 80%.  Follow the link for more information.

The City College Honors Program also maintains transfer agreements with other univiersities.  Some agreements guarantee you admission into the university while other agreements DO NOT guarantee you admission BUT will guarantee you entry into the university's Honors Program if you are admitted.  For more information please follow the link.  Universities that offer admission agreements are labeled UA.  Those that ONLY offer honors to honors agreements are labeled H2H.

HONORS CONFERENCES

City College honors students are eligible to participate in the annual HTCC conference hosted at UC-Irvine.  The HTCC annual student research conference gives students in community college honors programs the opportunity to present the results of their work.  Presenting your work at the HTCC Student Research Conference makes you eligible not only for monetary awards but also to submit your work for publication in the HTCC anthology "Building Bridges," published through the University of California, Irvine.  For more information please follow the link.

City College students are also encouraged to apply to the City College Student Project & Research Symposium.  This yearly symposium offers students the opportunity to display and present their work.

    CITY COLLEGE SYMPOSIUM

Each year, City College Honors Students participate in the UCLA TAP/TRANSFER CONFERENCE.  This is an opportunity for City College students to tour the UCLA campus, participate in workshops, attend an information fair, and learn more about transfer to UCLA.  Transportation to the conference is provided by the students themselves; however, when there is sufficient student interest and funds are available, transportation may be provided by the Honors Program.  This year's conference will be Friday November 14th, 2014, from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm. Follow the link for more information.
