San Diego City Civil Service Communications Techni

A four-year apprenticeship program in the installation, maintenance and repair of communications equipment offered through the City of San Diego. This is a promotional opportunity for City of San Diego employees only and applicants must meet criteria specified by the city. This apprenticeship program combines classroom instruction in Electronic Systems with on-the-job training to prepare City of San Diego Communication Technicians in the areas of installation, maintenance and repair of communications equipment in City facilities and vehicles.

Upon successful completion of the program, the student will receive a Journeyman certificate from the State of California, and will be eligible for employment in the field of communication equipment maintenance and repair.
