    Knights Tough Out 14-7 Victory Over San Francisco to Win CCCAA State Championship

    The SDCC women's badminton team has captured the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) State Championship after defeating City College of San Francisco, 14-7, on Thursday. It is the fourth time under the direction of head coach Son Nguyen that the Knights have won the state title. Thursday's championship match was the toughest of the season for the Knights as they had to overcome fatigue and injuries in addition to the the skill of a top notch opponent in San Francisco.

    Son Nguyen Named Coach of the Year, LanAnh Nguyen Named MVP

    Head Coach Son Nguyen has been named as the Orange Empire Conference's Coach of the Year for the 2012 season. Coach Nguyen led the Knights to the OEC championship for the fifth time in the last seven years and the Knights are looking to win their fourth state championship under Nguyen's direction.

    The SDCC women's badminton team has won the Orange Empire Conference (OEC) championship for the fifth time in the last seven years after finishing the 2012 regular season with an 8-0 record. The Knights have qualified to play in the regional team playoff against Pasadena City College on Wednesday, May 2.
