Jones, Russell Named to All-PCAC 1st Team; 5 Others Get Honorable Mention


The Pacific Coast Athletic Conference has selected sophomores Raymond Jones and Cory Russell to the All-PCAC first team and four others, including Ricky Kliebenstein, Kyle Peeler, Christian Broussard, and Brien Grant were given honorable mention by the league.

Sophomore starting pitcher Kyle Peeler threw a complete game shutout with three strikeouts in the Knights 6-0 home win over Southwestern on Tuesday afternoon. The Knights improved to 7-4 overall and 1-1 in the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference.

Broussard's Walk-Off HR in 10th Lifts Knights to 3rd Straight Win


Freshman Christian Broussard hit a walk-off solo home run in the bottom of the 10th to catapult the Knights to a 3-2 win, their third in a row, over Irvine Valley on Saturday afternoon.

Martinez & Jones Fuel 9th Inning Rally To Beat West LA


Freshman left fielder Scott Martinez hit a game-tying RBI triple in the bottom of the ninth and sophomore center fielder Ray Jones followed with an RBI single that gave the Knights a 4-3 home victory on Tuesday afternoon over West Los Angeles.

Knights Rout IVC 18-0 For 3rd Straight Win


The Knights (8-22, 6-15 PCAC) had their best performance of the season on Friday as they recorded 27 hits en route to an 18-0 win over Imperial Valley (4-27, 3-18 PCAC). It was the third straight victory over the Arabs this week. The Knights also beat them, 3-1, on Tuesday, and 9-1 on Thursday.

Knights Win 2nd Straight Over Imperial Valley


The San Diego City College baseball team won its second consecutive game over Imperial Valley on crushing the Arabs, 9-1. It was the largest margin of victory for the Knights who improved to 7-22 overall and 5-15 in the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference.

Knights' Rally Falls Short, Lose 6-4 to Grossmont


After falling behind by three runs, the Knights got back into the game with a 2-run home run from Joseph Lavin in the eighth inning, but Grossmont held on to win 6-4. The loss was the Knights' fourth straight and dropped their overall record to 5-14 and Pacific Coast Athletic Conference record to 3-7.

Knights Hold On for 6-4 Win Over Mesa


The Knights (5-10, 3-3 PCAC) got back to .500 in conference after hanging on for a 6-4 home win over Mesa on Saturday. The winning run was scored on Geordy Smith's 2-run home run in the bottom of the sixth inning.

Knights End Losing Streak With Shutout of MSJC


The SDCC baseball team snapped a six-game losing streak on Saturday with a 2-0 home victory over Mt. San Jacinto in the PCAC opener. Pitchers Anthony Parise and Eric Tek combined for the shutout, allowing nine hits and four walks with two strikeouts.
