Knights Rout Grossmont, 87-68

Freshman guard Marvin Sykes led the Knights with 20 points and six rebounds in an 87-68 road win over Grossmont on Friday night.
Sophomore guard Stephon Lamar had 18 points and freshman guard Devyn Iglehart put in 17 points.
The Knights built a 44-32 halftime lead, but Grossmont came back to get within four points at 53-49 with 13:33 remaining. The Knights responded with a 12-3 run in the next three minutes and pushed their lead up to 13.
SDCC didn't allow the Griffins to get any closer than 10 points and eventually extended their lead to as many as 20 late in the second half.
It was the third time this season that the Knights have defeated Grossmont. The other two wins came on November 19 in the semifinals of the Knights Invitational and on December 7.
