Knights Qualify For SoCal Championships


The San Diego City College men's cross country team qualified for the CCCAA Southern California championships after finishing 5th of five teams at the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference championships. 

The Knights had two top 20 finishers in Antonio Hernandez and Christopher Felix. Hernandez crossed the finish line in 15th place with a time of 22 minutes, 35.53 seconds with an average mile of five minutes, 38 seconds.

Felix came in 20th out of 54 finishers in 22 minutes, 59.37 seconds. 

The fifth place finish equals their highest of the season. They also finished in fifth (out of 9 teams) at the Rio Hondo Invitational and fifth (out of 11 teams) at the Foothill Invitational.

The Knights will race at the SoCal championships on Friday, Nov. 8 in Santa Clarita.
