Milton Hidalgo Named PCAC Coach of the Year
11/28/2011
Men's soccer Head Coach Milton Hidalgo has been named Coach of the Year by the Pacific Coast Conference for the second consecutive year.
Hidalgo led the Knights to a second straight PCAC championship after finishing the regular season with a 9-1-2 conference record and a 14-3-3 overall record. It was also the fifth time in the last eight years that he has directed the Knights to that feat. They also won the conference title in 2004, 2005 and 2006.
The Knights made it to the second round of the playoffs this season, but fell to defending state champion Mt. San Antonio. It was the seventh time in the last eight years that Hidalgo has led the Knights into the playoffs. They have made it to the second round of the playoffs in six of those years. In 2010, the Knights advanced to the third round, one round shy of reaching the state championships.
