    Knights Fall to Cuyamaca, 1-0

The Knights were looking to carry over the momentum from a 1-0 victory at Southwestern last Friday, but second place Cuyamaca had other thoughts as they defeated the Knights, 1-0, on Tuesday.

Cuyamcaca came out firing, but the Knights defense held strong until the 27th minute when Cuyamaca's Taylor Shakowski knocked in a cross for what turned out to be the lone goal of the match.

The Knights were heavily outshot, but goalkeepers Erica Inchaurregui and Alyssa Buzby, who each played a half, and the Knights' back line kept them in the game. The Knights created a few opportunities and their best chance came in the 81st minute off a set piece. A corner kick found an open Maricarmen Guevara inside the box, but her header was a couple feet too high and went over the crossbar.

The Knights record dropped to 5-8-3 overall and 3-7-2 in the PCAC.
