Several student-athletes who have played softball at San Diego City College under Head Coach LeeAnn Taylor have moved on to 4-year universities.
Shaakirah Ransom
Shaakirah Ransom played for the Knights from 20010-11 and transferred to Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee, Wis.
Nicole Samida
Nicole Samida played for City in 2009 and 2011 then moved on to play at Mayville State Univerisity in Mayville, N.D.
Alyssa Ortega
Alyssa Ortega went on to play at Cardinal Stritch University after playing the 2010-11 seasons at SDCC.
Leona Reyna
Leona Reyna transferred to the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut after playing for the Knights in 2009 & 2010.
Courtney Gahan
Courtney Gahan was with the Knights in 2009 & 2010 and then made the move to the University of Missouri - St. Louis
Erika Rangel
The 2008 Pacific Coast Conference Player of the Year, Erika Rangel, transferred to the University of Mobile (Alabama). While at SDCC, Rangel made the All-State Team in 2008 as well as the All-PCC in 2007 and 2008.
Veronica Ollier
After playing the 2008 season with the Knights, Veronica Ollier moved on to be a shortstop/center fielder at Lees-McRae College in North Carolina. Ollier is striving to become a veterinarian.
Amanda Wilson
Amanda Wilson moved on to Cal State San Marcos after playing the 2007 and 2008 seasons at SDCC.
Sarah Burns
In 2007 Sarah Burns was named PCC Most Valuable Pitcher and was also named to both the All-State and All-PCC Teams. Burns transferred to Belhaven College in Jackson, Miss.
Alicia Penner
Alicia Penner, who played for SDCC in 2006, went on to play first base at Minot State University in Minot, ND.
