No. 8 Knights To Play No. 1 Cerritos in 1st Round Playoff

The San Diego City College men's tennis team has qualified for the postseason for the second straight year by earning an at-large bid as the No. 8 seed in Southern California.

The Knights will travel to play at No. 1 Cerritos College (24-2) on Tuesday, April 10 in the first round of the CCCAA dual team championship tournament.

City will go into the playoff riding a 4-match win streak. The Knights went 14-6 overall and finished in a second place tie in the PCAC with a 9-3 record. They have gone 21-3 over the last two PCAC seasons and won the conference title a year ago.

The Knights have gone 27-11 overall the last two years under Head Coach Brandon Lupian and have had three straight winning PCAC seasons.

The winner of Tuesday's playoff will advance to play either Irvine Valley (6-9) or College of the Desert (14-2) on Tuesday, April 17.
