Angel Lopez, Director of Tennis/Head Tennis Professional at San Diego Tennis and Racquet Club, donated 10 cases of new Wilson tennis balls and Wilson tennis racquets to the SDCC men's and women's tennis programs.
On Saturday, April 27, SDCC women’s tennis Head Coach Jami Jones and her team reached out to the community by helping out in the San Diego District Tennis Association booth at the Linda Vista Multicultural Fair. The Knights distributed more than 150 Tennisfest flyers (a free annual event open to all who are interested-go to www.sandiegotennis.com for more information), gave out lots of T-shirts and other prizes.

Lopez, the Director of Tennis/Head Tennis Professional at San Diego Tennis and Racquet Club, donated eight cases of Wilson U.S. Open tennis balls and a dozen Wilson racquets. Lopez is a graduate of SDCC and the University of Arizona who won the Ojai Tournament doubles championship while at SDCC and also helped the Knights win the state championship in the 1970s. Robin Harris and Angel Lopez, both alumni of the SDCC tennis program, have gone on to win the 2012 Senior Mixed Doubles World Championship.
