    Ian Leibitzke Named Captain For 2014 Season


    Head Coach Kevin Pratte and Assistant Coach Mike Stara have named Ian Leibitzke as the 2014 men's volleyball captain. The two coaches took a month to evaluate practices and give the players an opportunity to emerge as leaders.

    The San Diego City College men’s volleyball team opened the 2014 season with a 3-0 loss to Santa Barbara on Friday night. The set scores were 25-15, 25-9, and 25-15.

    The San Diego City College men’s volleyball team had a great time participating in the Centennial celebration at San Diego City College on January 29. The event, which included dancing and other activities, served as a team bonding activity.

    The SDCC men's volleyball team spent their Friday afternoon participating in lawn bowling. It was a beautiful day in Balboa Park and this event allowed the team to build deeper relationships with each other.

    Knights Participate in MLK Parade


    On Sunday, January 19 members of the SDCC men's volleyball program participated in the Martin Luther King Parade in downtown San Diego. The parade took place on Harbor Drive and the Knights, along with many other San Diego organizations, payed tribute to Martin Luther King by marching in the parade.

    Knights Show Promise At Palomar Tournament To Open 2014


    The San Diego City College men's volleyball team opened the 2014 season on Saturday by competing in Palomar's round-robin tournament where the Knights faced San Diego Mesa, Grossmont, and Palomar.

    SDCC men's volleyball players Dillon Lesniak and Pierce Stewart have both signed letters of intent to play at Lourdes College in Sylvania, Ohio.

    Knights Finish Season On A High Note


    The men's volleyball team finished the 2011 season strongly as they swept San Diego Mesa, 3-0 (25-17, 25-20, 25-15) and Golden West, 3-0 (25-21, 25-15, 25-22) in the last two matches.

    The Knights snapped a two-match losing streak on Friday with a 3-1 (25-21, 25-14, 20-25, 27-25) victory over San Diego Mesa.
