City Food Pantry

The San Diego City College Emergency Food Pantry is one of the on-campus, student-run project operated by the Small Business Entrepreneurship Program. Faculty and staff conceived the idea after identifying a growing need to assist students experiencing food insecurities.  Through local food drives, individual donations, staff & faculty payroll contributions, and other community agencies, the pantry collects food which helps hundreds of students with an emergency lunch or meal.  In addition to emergency services, the program will assist students with food insecurity prevention through educational tools, provide literature on additional food resources, and coordinates occasional grocery distribution giveaways.
