Located in the heart of downtown San Diego, the Seeds@City Urban Farm serves as the outdoor classroom for City College's Sustainable Urban Agriculture program.  We teach urban farmers while increasing community access to nutritious food, supporting self-reliance, and building a thriving local economy.

Seeds@City was formed through a partnership between San Diego City College and San Diego Roots Sustainable Food Project.  Established in June 2008, the farm provides students with hands-on experiences necessary for learning the skills of urban farming and is the first––and still only–– program of its kind at an institution of higher education in San Diego County. Our goal is to train the next generation of urban farmers in sustainable agriculture to build a food secure city and region.
