Media Collections

ILC Media For Students | ILC Media for Faculty & Staff

Room R105 of the Independent Learning Center (ILC) houses media materials pertaining to 296 Individual Instruction courses, media for course reserves, and a Media Collection of other audio-visual material that supports instruction.  

ILC Media for Students:

  • For a specific media title, please use the library catalog to find the call number for that title so that staff may retrieve it for you.
  • Get help finding materials at the Library Information Desk on the second floor of the LRC.
  • Students must use material from the Media Collection in R105 only. Items may not be removed from the room by students.

ILC Media Faculty and Staff:

  • To borrow media from the County Consortium's collection, go here.
  • To find a title within the City College collection, please use the library catalog to find the call number for the specific media title you need so that staff may retrieve it for you. Faculty and staff may check out media material, except those on course reserve, for two weeks. Please verify with us that you are currently teaching in the District.
  • To add media items to the Media Reserve collection for a semester, contact Megersa Bayisa at (619) 388-3266.  You will need to fill out a Media Reserve Form and submit it with your media items.
  • To add media items to the permanent Media Collection, please contact Sandra Pesce at (619) 388 3245. All media must be closed-captioned prior to being added to the collection.
