Equipment Loans to Individual Students | Event Setups for Associated Students Groups

The Office of Classroom Technology Management's services to students are limited to equipment loans to individuals and to event setups for Associated Students groups. The Office of Classroom Technology Management does not provide technical help with personal equipment (including laptops), support for group study, or media production as part of a course assignment. Students must use the equipment and software in the Independent Learning Center to do course assignment work themselves.

Equipment Loans to Individual Students (Reservation required)

For individual student checkout: Follow this two-step process:

  • Step #1: You may borrow equipment for use in a classroom presentation or other on-campus use if you have submitted to us an authorization form signed by your instructor or faculty/staff sponsor.
  • Step #2: This reservation request (via the authorization form) must be submitted to the Multimedia Center desk on the lower level of the LRC at least 2 business days in advance of need.

Equipment available for individual student use:

  • Laptop/projector media cart

Event Setups for Associated Students Groups (reservation required)

For campus events sponsored by Associated Students: Follow this two-step process:

  • Step #1: Coordinate your group’s request for an event on campus with Gail Rodriguez in the Associated Students Office in D105 or at 619-388-3428. Requests must be submitted at least 2 weeks in advance of the event.

  • Step #2: The student organizer must contact the Multimedia Center staff directly with equipment requests. Contact us.

Equipment available for on-campus events sponsored by Associated Students includes:

  • CD player (indoor/outdoor weather permitting)
  • Laptop computer (indoor only)
  • LCD projector (indoor only)
  • PA sound system-- for voice projection only, not live musicians (indoor/outdoor weather permitting).
  • Television (indoor/outdoor weather permitting)
  • Transparency projector (indoor only)
  • VCR/DVD player (indoor/outdoor weather permitting)
