Assessment and Orientation

Assessment

New City College students take Math and English assessment tests to determine which classes to take first. For more information, please see the Assessment page.

Orientation

After taking assessment tests, new students are required to attend an orientation session BEFORE registering for classes.  The orientation provides important information about City College's programs and services, as well as strategies for student success - and students receive a FREE City College catalog!  New students needing a counselor assistance will only be seen at an orientation for course and first semester education planning. No exception.  For more information, please see the Orientation page.

Orientations for Fall 2012 enrollment begins in May. Continue to check the event calendar and this website for the first available date.
