Appointments

Counselors are available to meet with you for an individual appointment either on-campus or online. Before you schedule an appointment you MUST MEET the following requirements:

  1. Taking at least one class for the current semester or have previously attended City College.
  2. Have all transcripts and/or assessment scores from previous colleges submitted AND evaluated (if applicable).
  3. Have all test scores (i.e., AP, IB) submitted (if applicable).
  4. Have an identified academic/career goal or have attended a Career Exploration Workshop at the Career Services Center.
  5. If you are a new student to City College, have completed the Steps for Student Success including:
    1. New Student Online Orientation
    2. English & Math Assessments (if applicable)
    3. Attended a New Student Educational Planning workshop
    4. Have a completed 2-Semester Abbreviated Student Education Plan.
    5. Please visit the New Students Start Here website if you have not completed these steps
Appointments are scheduled every 2-weeks on a first-come, first-serve basis.

call the Counseling Department at 619.388.3540 or stop by building E-2 during our office hours: Monday & Tuesday, 8:00a - 7:00p, Wednesday & Thursday, 8:00a - 6:00p, and Friday, 8:00a - 3:00p.
