Several first year English classes and some general education classes are linked together.  First Year Students get the opportunity to take both of their required English classes as a cohort group.

      Accelerated First Year Courses

There are also opportunities for taking some of  courses in an accelerated time which can shorten the timeline between your first year and your graduation  and or transfer date.

English and Math usually are prerequisites to more English and Math classes. Putting them off until later will hurt your academic progress and slow you down on your academic journey.  Refer to you assessment result to see what English an/ or Math course you must take in your first year at college.  Only by making and keeping your counseling appointment will you be able to decide if the linked courses and accelerated classes would be in your best interest. Please discuss these option with your counselor before making a decision about taking, an accelerated course.
