Welcome to the Math Center!
Whether you're taking math for fun or for a course requirement, the Math Center is the right place to be. If you are taking math with reluctance, we can offer some solace and support. The Math Center's mission is to provide a flexible, learner-centered environment in which students are able to complete math requirements at their own pace. You might surprise yourself by enjoying and understanding math for the first time in your life or just by completing a math course with your sense of humor intact. The important thing is to find a program that fits your unique learning style. We offer structured self-learning courses on-campus and one-unit online refresher courses to help prepare for challenging prerequisites.     Announcements

     On-campus Courses

    The Math Center on-campus courses are independent-learning, semi self-paced, computer-based, and offer an extended time frame. For more detailed information, click here.

    Math Center Location

    The Math Center is located in Room L-208 on the second floor of the remodeled L building, called the Academic Success Center.
    The Math Center offers self-learning Math 38, 46, and 96 courses with on-campus attendance and progress requirements.
    Other services include online one-unit math refresher courses and walk-in tutoring for students of other City College math courses. Bring your CSID.

    Spring Math Center Hours:
    Monday and Friday:
    10:00AM - 2:00PM. 
    Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday:
    10AM - 4:30PM

    Attention:  The Math Center will be closing at 2:30 on Thursday, May 15th.
    We will adjust our hours on the following dates accordingly:
    Wednesday, May 21st: 10am - 5:30pm
    Thursday, May 22nd:  10am - 5:30pm

    The last day the Math Center will be open for the Spring Semester is Thursday, May 22nd.

    Testing hours:
    Midterm Exams can be started during the following times and completed by closing time.
    Monday and Friday:
    10:00am - 12:15pm
    Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday:
    10:00am - 2:55pm

    All Test must be started no later than the following time:
    Monday and Friday:  
    12:15pm
    Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
    2:55pm

    Test Proctoring Services
    The Math Center is now offering test proctoring services for students requiring make up quizzes or exams for their math classes. Professors:  For more information contact Professor Young, or come to the Math Center in L-208 to speak with a supervisor.

    The Math Center now offers resources for nursing students.
    We offer tutorials, worksheets, and exercises in the following areas:

    The Math Center now has Twitter! Our goal is to make the Math Center announcements, updates, and student communication more accessible.     Overcome Math Anxiety
    All Math Anxiety Workshops will be held in the Math Center L-208. All students are invited and welcome to attend. In order to sign up for this workshop, students need to call (619) 388-3580 or visit the Math Center. Click on the Calendar Tab for workshop dates and times
