Welcome to the Math Center!

Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide a flexible learning-centered environment in which students are able to complete their college math requirements. Whether you are here, to complete a Math Center course, to receive general math tutoring, to take a make-up test, to study or complete homework assignments, the Math Center strives to provide resources in an environment that is conducive for learning.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

A CSID card is required every time to gain enrty into the Math Center, any student who fails to present their SDCCD CSID card will be turned away from attending the Math Center. You can go to the Admissions Office (room A-112) to pick up your CSID card (the first one is free; a replacement is $ 5:00)

While our facility and services are open to all City College math students, first priority access is given to students taking one of the Math Center Math 15ABC courses.  As such, the Math Center, our classroom space for the Math 15 courses, is subject to all rules and regulations as any other math classroom (e.g. cell phone usage is prohibited; no visitors; no food or drinks allowed in the Math Center; disruptive students will be asked to leave the Math Center, with possible further disciplinary actions taken, etc). For more information, please refer to Student Code of Conduct section of Policy 3100 of the SDCCD Board of Trustees Policy.

The Math Center on-campus Math Refresher courses are independent-learning,  computer-based, and eight weeks long.
