Leslie Easton, L.C.S.W.
Mental Health Coordinator
A Licensed Clinical social worker, Leslie worked at Sharp Mesa Vista Hospital and V.A. Hospital as a medical and psychiatric social worker for many years prior to coming to City College in 2000. In addition to her role as the Mental Health Coordinator, Leslie continues to run the Counseling Support Program that she developed for the Price Scholarship Program at City College.
Abigail Burd, L.C.S.W., C.P.R.P.
Abby is a bilingual (Spanish) Licensed Clinical Social Worker, a Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner, and holds a Master of Social Work from San Diego State. She has been proud to be a part of the City College Mental Health Counseling Center since 2007. Abby has worked in the fields of mental health and substance abuse in agencies such as Sharp Mesa Vista Hospital, UCSD Outpatient Psychiatric Services, St. Vincent's and Community Research Foundation since 1998.
Matthew Ring, M.S.W., A.S.W
Matthew Ring is an adjunct mental health counselor and has a Masters in Social Work from San Diego State University. Matthew has been a member of the mental health counseling team since 2009 starting out as an MSW Intern and then returning as an adjunct counselor.In addition to his experience in the mental health field, Matthew has a background in the Social Policy arena. Matthew is also a City College alumnus!
The Mental Health Counseling Center is also staffed by graduate level interns from the University of Southern California Master of Social Work Program, San Diego State University School of Social Work, and Alliant International University Marriage and Family Therapy Program.
