Students are eligible for the New Horizons Program if
- Enrolled in a Career/Technical Education major/certificate program and
- in economic need (BOGW eligible)
- and one of the following:
- single parent or single pregnant woman
- displaced homemaker
- individual with disabilities
- former foster youth
- student preparing for non-traditional training
- student with limited English proficiency
Program services can include
- Textbook loans from lending library
- Limited public transportation assistance
- “One Stop” Student Academic Planner
- “Hit the Books” study skills booklet
- Referrals to campus and community resources
- Non-traditional career information
- Life skills and job search information
