This is the first course in the sequence of study of the Italian language and culture. In this interactive course, students use Italian in speaking, listening, reading, and writing at the novice level. Basic language structures and vocabulary for communication are examined and explored in Italian. Students with two years of high school Italian are eligible to enroll in Italian 101.
