Detailed Instructions

Below are detailed instructions on updating the calendar, broken into 5 categories:
  • Add an Event
  • Edit an Event
  • Edit Locations
  • Edit Categories
  • Attach a Flyer
Text in red has a picture that goes with it.

Add an Event

  1. Go to the page where your calendar is located.
  2. Click Login in the bottom right. Enter User Name and Password.
  3. You will now see a blue plus sign appear above the calendar. Click it.
  4. Now you can add your event information.
  5. Event description area can be used for any info/images associated with your event.
  6. Once all information is added, click Update and your event will be added to the calendar.

Edit an Event

  1. Make sure you are logged in.
  2. Click on your event in the calendar to be taken to that Event's page.
  3. Click on Edit in the bottom left.
  4. Make your changes and then click Update.

Edit Locations

  1. Make sure you are logged in.
  2. Go to the page your calendar is on.
  3. There is a blue arrow in the top left above your calendar.  Hover over it.
  4. Select Edit Locations.
  5. Enter your location.
  6. Click Add and you will now be able to select this location when adding events.

Edit Categories

  1. Follow steps above for Locations, but at step 4 select: Edit Categories

Attach a Flyer

  1. Highlight the text you would like to link to.
  2. Click the Hyperlink Manager icon in the toolbar:
  3. To the right of the 'URL' field, select the hyperlink icon:
  4. You should now be in the 'Document Manager.' Double click on the folder, 'EventsCalendar.'
  5. Here you are able to upload your document. (Remember to create a folder to put your document in to keep things organized).
  6. Once your document is uploaded, double click to insert it.
  7. You are taken back to the 'Hyperlink Manager'. Change the 'Target' field from 'None' to 'New Window.'
  8. Select 'OK' and your flyer is added.
Note: You are able to edit the link you created by right clicking on it and selecting, 'Properties'
