Associate in Arts Degree: Liberal Arts,
Global/International Studies

Academic Programs
The Liberal Arts with an Emphasis in Global/ International Studies degree provides basic lower division courses that prepare for transfer to university.

Courses Required for the Major Units
The student will select courses that conform to the Inter segmental General Education Transfer Curriculum (IGETC) area requirements. For specific information, see a counselor.

SPEE 180, Intercultural Communication   3
2 semesters of a language*  10
Total Units = 62 - 65

*See preparation for specific baccalaureate degree.

Recommended electives: computer competence, fluency in a second language, Business 119; English 101 or 105; Biology 101 or 120; one lower division transfer course in Arts and Humanities; Psychology 101, and one lower division transfer course in the social sciences that relates to the language/cultural area of interest.
