Associate in Arts Degree: Behavioral Sciences
Psychology Emphasis

Academic Programs
The associate degree in Behavioral Sciences with an emphasis in Psychology requires completion of the courses listed below. Additional general education and graduation requirements for the associate degree are listed in the catalog. The associate degree requires a minimum of 60 units.

Courses Required for the Major: Units
PSYC 101, General Psychology  3
PSYC 211, Learning  3
PSYC 258, Behavioral Science Statistics OR
MATH 119, Elementary Statistics 		 3
PSYC 260, Introduction to Physiological Psychology  3
Electives-  transferable, general education  6
Total Units = 18

Recommended electives: Psychology 135, 137, 155, 290, 296; transferable science, computer, mathematics, and other general education courses in biology and philosophy. SDSU Note: Current lower division psychology course requirements for San Diego State University psychology majors are met by the City College Associate in Arts degree, Psychology Emphasis.
