LeeAnn Taylor, two-time PCC Coach of the Year (2006 & 2007), is
currently in her sixth season as the Head Softball Coach at San Diego
City College and her 13th season
at the collegiate level. Taylor led the Knights to consecutive postseason appearances in 2007 and
2008. In 2007, she led the Knights to their
best record in school history (31-10-1, 11-4 PCC) and a share of the
Pacific Coast Conference championship.
Prior to City, she was an assistant coach at
Cal State Northridge in 2003 and 2004 where she helped lead CSUN to
consecutive NCAA regional play-off appearances. Taylor was the
Assistant Softball Coach at Point Loma Nazarene University from
1998-2002 and was honored to be a part of the 2002 NAIA National
Coaching Staff of the Year. During those five years, PLNU qualified for
consecutive postseasons and made two trips to the College World
Series, finishing runner-up in 2002.
Taylor is a native San Diegan. She attended San Diego Mesa College and
was named an All-State Second Baseman her freshman year. She earned a
full scholarship to Cal State Northridge and, as a junior, helped her
team finish as the National Runner-Up.
Taylor earned a B.A. in Child Development from CSUN in 1995 and
earned her Master's of Science degree in Physical Education from Azusa
Pacific University in 2006. She is currently working towards her Ph.D.
