Brandon
Lupian begins enters his second year as Head Coach of the men's tennis
program at SDCC. Lupian, a product of the
community college system, competed at Southwestern College where
he was a two-time All-PCC selection. Brandon then moved on to
play at U.S. International University while
earning his B.A. in Sociology in 2003.
Lupian was the Head Boy's and Girl's
Tennis Coach at Otay Ranch High School where the Boys won the
South Bay League in 2004, 2005 and 2006. His Girl's team won the
South Bay League championship in 2005.
Lupian
also served as the Men's Assistant Tennis Coach at Southwestern
College for the past three years. Brandon also volunteers some of his time to
help the Chula Vista High School basketball program.
Lupian has roots to City
College through his father, Lazaro (Larry) Lupian, who competed
in tennis here under Coach Bob Bacon during the "glory days" of
SDCC Athletics. His aunt and uncle both played professional
tennis.
