Associate in Science Degrees

Academic Programs
The associate degree in Business Studies requires completion of the courses listed in each degree emphasis. Additional general education and graduation requirements for the associate degree are listed in the Academic Requirements section of the catalog. The Business Studies Transfer area provides lower division transfer preparation for the School of Business Administration at San Diego State University. The associate degree requires a minimum of 60 units

The Core is required for the Business Studies associate degrees.

CORE
Units Class Description The Core is required for the Business Studies associate degrees. All courses in the Core are articulated with San Diego State University courses and some meet California State University and University of California general education requirements. The Core courses also meet all the District general education requirements for an AS Degree except for the science requirement. Business 119 also meets the District’s reading and written expression requirement. To receive a degree in Business Studies, the student must complete the Core and complete one of the four areas below. In Small Business Management the student has a choice of coursework. Real Estate does not offer a degree option, only Certificates of Performance.
