Career Outlook"

The Career Outlook explain what workers
do in each vocational area and give suggested qualifications for people
interested in the respective careers. They list hourly and monthly salary
ranges for entry-level, experienced, and top-level workers and detail the
experience and training expected by employers. Industry descriptions also
include a list of skills required in each area, the projected employment
outlook for the next seven years (subject to change), and local employers in
each industry who have hired qualified graduates from the City College
program. Finally, each industry profile includes a list of related
occupations - other areas where people with these skills and qualifications
might also find successful employment.
The Career Outlook are based on the latest available California job
statistics from the ERISS and EUREKA computerized labor market data systems
and other sources. However, for the most current information on local job
prospects, salaries, and employment qualifications students are encouraged to
contact the industry representative or trade group listed as the Industry
Contact on the appropriate Career Training page or one of the local industry
associations.
