Excellent
Opportunities for Men and Woman: |
Both men and women are equally sought after and hired in this field for jobs
with good pay and flexible hours.
|
| |
Departmental
Tips: |
 |
Most employers require a Physical Fitness Specialist certificate. |
 |
Internships require a 16-hour per week commitment, including 8 hours at a
community facility, 4 hours at the City College Fitness Center and 2.5
hours in a career opportunities workshop. |
 |
The Fitness Specialist program is not designed to physically condition
students. The department recommends students maintain their own individual
fitness regimens outside of program hours. |
 |
Good interpersonal and communication skills are critical to success in
this field.
