The San Diego City College Radio and Television department's facilities include a full broadcast quality television studio complete with lighting, grip equipment and a full scene shop. The TV studio is equipped with four GVG LDK4000 1080i High Definition Cameras. The studio control room has Grass Valley switching and DVE equipment along with a Still Store/Paint system, Chyron Infinit! graphics, Sony Beta SP and DVCAM videotape machines. TV audio is equipped with a Yamaha DM2000 96 input Digital Audio Console and Pro Tools. 
Five video editing suites feature Final Cut Pro with DVCAM along with two cuts-only linear editing suites. Portable equipment available for student projects include Sony DVCAM and HDV portable video cameras, 16mm film cameras along with supporting production packages that include portable lighting, audio, and grip equipment. 
A sixteen station computer lab with multimedia software is used for teaching multimedia, news writing, and script writing classes and is also available for student projects. 
CNN Newsource provides network video news feeds full time for student use in television news production. Associated Press Newswire is also available full time. 
The radio facilities include the KSDS-FM on air and production studios, four ProTools audio production booths along with a small performance studio.
