Assessment and Orientation Assessment - New City College students take Math and English assessment tests to determine which classes to take first.  For more information, please see the Assessment webpage. Orientation - After taking assessment tests, new students are expected to attend an orientation session BEFORE registering for classes.  The orientation provides important information about City College's programs and services, as well as strategies for student success - and receive a FREE City College catalog!  For more information, please see the Orientation webpage.
