SDICCCLRC maintains relationships with several other regional groups. Reports on their activities are a regular part of the SDICCCLRC meeting agenda. Descriptions below were excerpted from their respective web sites.
"Amigos Library Services' membership consists of over 750 libraries and cultural institutions, located primarily in the southwestern United States, who utilize Amigos’comprehensive line of services, including cataloging, reference, resource sharing, preservation, digital imaging, consulting and training."
"The primary purposes of the Council shall be to represent, promote and advance libraries in public California community college education and to provide a vehicle for communication among chief librarians, other community college personnel, and state agencies."
"The association of the Directors of Educational Technology provides a unique forum for focusing on common management concerns within media services across all levels of higher education."
"[LRACCC is]...a professional organization providing leadership and coordination for those organizations, colleges, and those learning resources personnel concerned with the development of instructional resources in the 106 California Community Colleges."
SILDRN is a regional cooperative organization, formed in 1995 by California State University-San Marcos, San Diego Public Library, San Diego State University, Serra Cooperative Library System, University of California-San Diego, and University of San Diego. Its purpose is to provide mutual aid in preparing for and coping with disasters affecting libraries and their collections.
"Tierra del Sol Regional Library Network (TDS) is a multi-type library consortium with membership drawn from libraries in the five southern California counties of Imperial, Inyo, Riverside, San Bernadino, and San Diego...As part of the Library of California, TDS expedites the exchange of materials between its member libraries via inter-library delivery, offers expanded reference services as well as other services in addition to local library services."
