Math Center

Welcome to the Math Center!
Whether you're taking math for fun or for a course requirement, the Math Center is the right place to be. If you are taking math with reluctance, we can offer some solace and support. The Math Center's mission is to provide a flexible, learner-centered environment in which students are able to complete math requirements at their own pace. You might surprise yourself by enjoying and understanding math for the first time in your life or just by completing a math course with your sense of humor intact. You will undoubtedly find that math is more enjoyable when you have a program that fits your unique learning style. We offer structured self-learning courses on-campus, online, as well as one-unit refresher courses to help prepare for challenging prerequisites. Click on Programs to find out which program best meets your needs.

Math Center Video Project (Workshop credit)

The Math Center has a new project this semester which would give you the opportunity to help a short math-related movie. The best student generated videos will be posted on iTunesU. You will collaborate with a group of students to develop a math or study-skills related topic, create a storyboard, write a script, shoot video footage, and edit the footage into a short 3-5 minute movie. No experience is required; a trained iMovie producer will guide you through the process.
