As Dean/Director of the Nursing Education Program at San Diego City College, it gives me great pleasure to welcome you to our Web site. Our purpose is to provide you with the necessary resources to assist you in making an informed decision regarding your future educational and career goals.

City College offers an Associate of Science Degree in Nursing (RN) via the Generic Track (two-year) and the LVN-RN Advanced Placement Track (one-year). More detailed information concerning the admission process is available on our Home Page

What makes City College so unique? First, is its location. City College is in the heart of downtown San Diego and, therefore, is readily accessible via all transportation methods (bus, trolley, car). Second, is its student population. City's students represent a rich mixture of ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic groups. Third, is the faculty who by their knowledge and expertise foster the appreciation of diversity in all teaching and learning endeavors and create an atmosphere that espouses support and encouragement for students. Fourth, is its Nursing Education Program, which has a positive reputation within the local community and graduates who are readily sought after for employment by the major health care institutions.
