Seeds @ City

Seeds @ city: an urban farm

Seeds @ City Urban Farm empowers young urban farmers and cultivates hope by training students at San Diego City College in sustainable, organic, local, community agriculture.

At Seeds @ City you can:
  • work toward a certificate in Sustainable Agriculture or take classes for your personal development
  • get your hands dirty as a volunteer on Saturday mornings
  • enjoy a beautiful, working farm right on campus
Buy Seeds @ City produce at the Farm Stand located just up the stairs from the farm on Thursdays 9:30-11:30a.m.

Starting May 22nd, Volunteer at Seeds @ City every  Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 9a.m.-noon.
We have a few rules to make sure you get the most out of volunteering:
  • Please eat before joining us to work at the farm.
  • Bring water and a snack for yourself.
  • Please wear old clothing and closed-toed shoes that you do not mind getting dirty.
  • Please wear sunscreen and a hat.
  • Check in with Dorothea, our farm coordinator, when you arrive. She'll have some paperwork for you to fill out before you can start volunteering.
Tours will be held this summer starting May 22nd on Tuesdays from 12-1pm––just show up. On Saturdays we can also arrange tours by appointment. Please  contact the farm manager, Erin Rempala in order to arrange a Saturday tour for your group.

The farm is located at San Diego City College at the corner of 14th and C Streets between Saville Theater and the LRC.  Parking is free on Saturdays
. Check out updated farm happenings on our Facebook page!

Seeds @ City Urban Farm would not be possible without the support of the City College Foundation.
