Alpha Tau is the San Diego City College chapter of Alpha Gamma Sigma.

http://www.agsalphatau.org is a club website specifically for our chapter and is independent of the City College Web Site.

Alpha Gamma Sigma is the California Community College Honor Society. AGS was founded in 1926 by William T. Boyce and since then chapters have been established at community colleges throughout the state. San Diego City College, the oldest California Community College in continued operation, also established one of the founding chapters of AGS, designated as Alpha Tau.

What is the purpose of AGS?

• To promote, maintain and recognize scholastic achievement.
   
• To offer programs that provide educational and cultural enrichment for members and students campus-wide.
   
• To volunteer services to the campus and the community.
