2008-2009 Application Process
You must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
for the 2008-2009 school year and list San Diego City College (School
code 001273). It is important to apply early to make sure you
have enough time for your school to receive your information and to
make any necessary corrections. The priority deadline
for Federal
Work Study and Federal SEOG
was April 15, 2008. You may still
apply after that date
for a Federal Pell Grant.
The final date for your FAFSA to be received by the U.S. Department
of Education for processing is the end of the semester for which you
are enrolled or June 30, 2009 whichever comes first.

Financial Aid funds are administered in accordance with a nationally
established policy of financial assistance for education. The basis
of this policy is the belief that students and their parents have
the primary responsibility for meeting educational costs. The amount
of the contribution expected from students and their parents is
determined by careful analysis of family financial strength taking
into consideration net income, number of dependents, allowable
expenses, indebtedness, and assets. The U.S. Department of
Education, in cooperation with educational agencies, has established
procedures which are used in making an evaluation of the amount
families can be expected to contribute.
