EMERGENCY BOOK LOAN GUIDELINES FOR FALL 2007

HOW TO APPLY:

Sign-up, in Student Affairs-Room D-106, for one of the orientation sessions

(First come, first served) on Monday, Aug 25, 2008 - 8:00 a.m.

Complete the application packet distributed at the Orientation Session on 8/26 & 8/27.

ORIENTATION SESSIONS: (Please sign up for one session only)

Aug  26, Tues. 12:00pm-1:00pm- ROOM D-121A                      
Aug.  27, Wed. 12pm-1:00pm - ROOM D-121A

Aug  26, Tues. 1:00pm-2:00pm-ROOM D-121A                  
Aug.  27, Wed. 1:00pm-2:00pm-ROOM D-121A

(The availability of short-term emergency book loan funds for City College students depends upon your prompt repayment.)

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

  • You MUST attend one orientation session.

  • You MUST provide official, written documentation of your source of income--your application will NOT be  processed without proof of income. PLEASE BRING THAT INFORMATION WITH YOU.

  • Only one loan per student may be issued per academic year.

  • Processing time from approval date is 48-hours (2 days).

  • Non-resident students are eligible.

  • After approval, you must sign the Promissory Note at Student Activities Window D-106.

  1. You must be currently enrolled in classes at San Diego City College.

  2. You must not have any outstanding financial obligations with San Diego Community College District.

  3. You must have an acceptable and verifiable source of income. Examples include: Veteran’s benefits, Social Security, employment pay stub, or financial aid award letter.

  4. You have 30 days to repay the Emergency Book Loan. You must repay the loan on the date indicated on the Promissory Note.

  5. A HOLD and an ADMINISTRATIVE DROP will be applied to your records if you do not repay the loan as indicated on the Promissory Note. YOU WILL BE DROPPED FROM CLASSES.

  6. Emergency Book Loans are for books only.

  7. Emergency Book Loans are not available during semester breaks or summer sessions.
  8. Emergency Book Loans are limited to $150.00 maximum.
