City College's Student Health Services Mission is
to provide medical and psychological care, services and education in a culturally competent manner to enhance student's ability to both advocate and care for themselves in order to advance their health and that of the campus community. Student Health Services' mission is in concert with City College's mission in assisting the student to maintain wellness, stay in school and complete educational goals. The City College Student Health Services program consists of both medical and mental health components.  The medical/nursing program provides preventive and primary health care with referrals to community resources as needed.  Student Health supports the success of students by attending to their physical and emotional well-being through the following services:

Nursing Assessment & Management:
A registered nurse works with you to determine the best course of care. This may include an appointment with the physician, nurse practitioner or referral to community resources. It may include nursing care, education or health counseling.

Laboratory Services:
Laboratory tests are provided at low cost, as ordered by the physician or nurse practitioner.

First Aid/Emergency Care:
First aid is provided for minor problems.  For severe or life-threatening issues, emergency care is accessed through the Emergency Transport System in San Diego.

General Medical Care:
Ambulatory medical care is provided by appointment with the Student Health Services physician and nurse practitioners. This includes history and physical assessment of skin, muscle, joint, respiratory, gastrointestinal, endocrine and other problems. Medical referrals are made to the community as indicated.
