Student Government & Clubs

Purpose - The Associated Students Government is the governing body that finances, organizes, and directs many student sponsored programs and activities at City College. Elections are held annually for Associated Student President and other officers, with midyear elections held as needed. Any student with a current City College ID card may vote in the elections

Eligibility Requirements

§      Currently enrolled students

·       Completion of at least 12 units of college level coursework

·       G.P.A of at least 2.2

§       First Semester Students

·       Student may join as an officer with no GPA requirements if NO units have been taken

·       If any units have been taken, see “Currently Enrolled Students” section above

§       All students interested in holding Office must fulfill the following requirements:

·       Must purchase the Associated Student Body membership (Note: Membership may be purchased at the A.S Cashier window of room D-106)

·       Be enrolled in a minimum of 6 units at City College

§       Participate in culturally-enriching activities

§       A.S cardholders qualify for Associated Student sponsored scholarships

§       Benefits of the A.S Card membership include:
