GETTING INVOLVED

Many opportunities are available to get involved in making the City College/East Village area a more pedestrian/bicyclist friendly community.

Students/Community
Residents & Organizations
Participation:

♦ Identify and substantiate, with data, high risk traffic/pedestrian areas
♦ Share pedestrian/biking experiences and facts about traffic incidents
♦ Prioritize campus and neighborhood pedestrian, wheelchair and
   bicycling safety needs
♦ Co-create educational visuals and advocacy messages
♦ Distribute project materials at City College, adjacent high schools and
   in the community
♦ Engage planners and decision makers via media and other advocacy

♦ Contribute to the development and implementation of recommendations for traffic calming, walkability and safer pedestrian/bicyclist environments
♦ Participate in the City College/East Village Traffic Safety Coalition to establish common issues, prioritize goals and advance environmental improvements
