Welcome University-Bound students!
The San Diego City College Transfer Center is your dedicated partner in navigating
the transfer process to a college or university. Our goal is to keep you informed
about transfer opportunities and provide access to the information and resources you
need to reach your transfer goals.
In the Transfer Center, you can meet with a transfer counselor to create a personalized
Education Plan, connect with university representatives from some of your favorite schools, attend transfer workshops, get application assistance and more. Whether you're just getting started or nearing the finish line, we’re happy
to support you every step of the way.
The San Diego City College Transfer Center is your go-to resource on campus for all
things related to transferring to a college or university.
At the Transfer Center, we provide the following services:
- Transfer Counseling & Education Planning
- Guidance in researching and selecting a transfer institution
- Career Counseling
- Individual appointments with university representatives from UC, CSU, and independent colleges and universities
- Transfer Workshops
- Transfer Application Assistance
- Transfer Admission Guarantees and Agreements
- Information on important dates and deadlines for transfer
- Computer use for college & career research, scholarships, applications, etc.
- Transfer Fairs
- University Tours to various colleges and universities
- Classroom Presentations
The Transfer Center offers both in-person and virtual appointments!
To schedule an appointment with a Transfer Counselor, please:
- Call us during business hours at (619) 388-3722
- Email us at [email protected] or text (619) 500-2842, and include 'Counseling Appointment' in the subject line.
In your message, please provide:
- Your First & Last Name
- Student ID Number
- A brief description of why you're seeking an appointment
- Your preference for a morning or afternoon appointment time
- Whether you'd like to meet in-person or via Zoom
We'll get back to you as soon as possible to schedule your appointment.
You’re also welcome to stop by our office in A-301 to set up your appointment.
NOTE: These appointments are specifically for students intending to transfer to a 4-year
college or university. All other students are encouraged to contact the Counseling and Personal Growth Department for support.
