Financial Aid Links

Many transfer students qualify for financial aid at their university - and many who do qualify don't apply! It is always a good idea to apply for financial aid, even if you think you may not qualify. More than two-thirds of people who apply for financial aid get it!

A financial aid package may include grants (which you don’t have to pay back), loans (which you do), or employment (like work-study agreements).

You should apply for financial aid at the FAFSA website between January 1 and March 2 of each year for the subsequent school year in order to meet all state and federal guidelines. After completing the FAFSA, contact your university's financial aid office for more information.

Many universities use the financial aid application package as a basis for considering scholarship awards. So even if you don't qualify for federal or state financial aid, you may still receive university grants or scholarships by applying. Contact the financial aid office at your transfer university for more information.
