Excellent Opportunities for Men and Woman:
Computerized numerical control has changed machining forever from a man's world full of dirty, heavy lifting, to computer assisted design and machining for high tech companies in biotechnology, aerospace, music and electronics. Great opportunities exist in San Diego and nationwide for skilled high-tech machinists of both sexes.

  Departmental Tips:
* Students need no prior experience with computers or machining. Beginning classes provide specific training in those areas.
* Consistent attendance is critical since new information is presented in every class. Students who miss class will fall behind quickly and be unable to catch up.
* Students should be prepared to spend extra study time outside of class.
