The City College Nursing program prepares students to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN). Nursing students learn how to promote and maintain the health of people of all ages, providing health care during illness, injury and rehabilitation in hospitals, clinics, retirement homes, and in private residences. Basic nursing training can be a stepping stone for both men and women to careers in nursing education or hospital administration and health care case management. Part-time positions are plentiful locally and opportunities nationwide are excellent for students willing to relocate.

Excellent Opportunities for Men and Woman:
Excellent Career Opportunities for Men and Woman. Nursing offers a career path to advancement and higher salaries for both men and women. Men now make up 25% of the City College nursing classes.
